Police seize cocaine valued at US$70,000 in Manchester

Two persons are in police custody in connection to the seizure of 2.3 kilogrammes of cocaine in Mandeville, Manchester on Sunday, February 11.

According to reports, on Sunday about 7:00 p.m., the police conducted a search of a motor car with two persons onboard. Cocaine hidden under the driver’s seat was subsequently found.

The two individuals were subsequently taken into custody and the motor car was seized.

The estimated street value of the cocaine is US$70,000.00.

Both suspects are expected to be charged for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

Their names are being withheld by the police pending further investigation.
