The numbers are building and the buzz is getting louder as the Sunday, June 21 staging of the Powerful Women and Men Perform for Charity draws near. Set for the Jamaica College Auditorium beginning at 7 pm, rehearsals are underway in earnest as a number of representatives of the political arena, private sector and civil society begin polishing their acts.
Miss Jamaica World 2026, Nevaeh Allen is one of the latest to join the list of performers, as well as Nikeisha Burchell, Opposition Spokesperson on Culture and popular designer and radio host Karen Booker.
They join dozens of performers including House Speaker Juliet Holness; Opposition Leader Mark Golding and Minister of Tourism Ed Bartlett whose acts promise to leave patrons in awe of their talents in entertainment.
“It is going to be an exciting show, full of surprises and the never-before-seen-and-heard gifts of these persons outside of the board rooms and corridors of power,” said Cordel Green, executive producer of the show.
The show’s beneficiary the Mustard Seed Communities couldn’t be more excited. Afterall the Powerful Women and Men show has brought to the organization more than $80 million over the years.
”The west will be represented by at least two Montego-based powerhouses in the persons of celebrated journalists Lloyd B Smith and Janet Silvera, the latter fresh off her successful staging of the Jill Stewart Memorial Run,” Cordel noted

Jamaicans in the diaspora and those unable to attend will be able to watch the show on Pay-Per-View through the Alive Podcast Network. A second platform is to be announced, Adult tickets are going for $4,000 and children under 12 – $2,000.
All proceeds from the show will go to the Mustard Seed Communities to assist with the care of nearly 500 HIV-affected and abandoned children at 12 homes island wide.
