Warehouse membership club, Pricesmart, says come October, it is ‘updating its pricing policy’ to reflect a J$600 fee for online purchases under J$5,000.

Pricesmart Jamaica, in an email to club members today (September 10), indicated that the fee imposition will help the company “sustainably support every online order while ensuring we can continue offering great products, delivery service options, and responsive support.”

The company maintained that online orders in PriceSmart.com and its mobile app above the J$5,000 threshold will not incur the fee.

PriceSmart currently operates two membership clubs in Jamaica, located at Red Hills Road, St. Andrew, and Portmore, St. Catherine, with a third location under construction in Ironshore, Montego Bay.
