UPDATED: Probe launched as three siblings meet fiery deaths in Westmoreland blaze

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) says a probe has been opened into the deaths of three children who perished during a residential fire in the parish of Westmoreland on Sunday (September 4).
The JCF, in a statement this morning, indicated that the deadly fire claimed the lives of Adrianno Laing, and seven-year-old twins Jayden and Jordan Laing. Another unnamed child was gravely injured and is being treated at hospital.
The children, all siblings, were natives of the Springfield district in the western parish.
According to preliminary reports from the Savanna-La-Mar Police, all three children were at home with their father at around 9:40 pm when a power outage hit the dwelling.
The father lit a candle and allegedly went outside. On his return, the man found the home engulfed in flames.
“Efforts were made to rescue the children, however, only one was saved. She was taken to the hospital where she is been treated,” the police statement read.
The Westmoreland Police are leading the investigation.
