Alternative investment company, Quantas Advantage, this week marked a historic milestone with its successful listing on both the Jamaican Dollar Main Market and the USD Equities Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

The company’s Initial Public Offer (IPO), priced at US$0.12 and J$19.3941 per share, was oversubscribed at the close of its invitation for subscription over a month ago, reflecting strong investor demand. Quantas Advantage will trade under the symbol QAINC.

JSE Chief Executive Officer, Livingstone Morrison, has congratulated Quantas Advantage on its more than 2,200 new shareholders and lead broker, JMMB Securities Limited. He highlighted a significant increase in the number of investors’ accounts in the Jamaica Central Securities Depository (JCSD) that had tripled over the past decade from under 150,000 in 2015 to 427,000 in 2025, signalling that more Jamaicans were choosing to build wealth through share ownership.

Placing trust in Quantas Advantage

Addressing the company’s leadership, Morrison remarked, “More than 2,200 Jamaicans have placed their trust, confidence and capital in your hands. I challenge you as I challenge all listed companies to give the smallest shareholder on the Register the same regard you give to the largest.”

QAINC’s Chairman, Jacqueline Sharp, thanked the partners, advisers and investors for their support and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to being a dividend-paying company. She also highlighted the regional significance of the listing, noting that Quantas Advantage is a Barbados-incorporated company, now listed in Jamaica, saying, “that speaks to the opportunity that regional capital can play in financing regional growth.”

For his part, Dario Dixon, Corporate Manager at JMMB Capital Markets, lauded the IPO’s success, which raised J$2.4 billion, exceeding its J$1.5 billion target by J$900 million, arguing, “this level of demand reflects strong investor confidence, not just in the offer itself, but in the vision and potential of Quantas Advantage.”

In presenting the JSE Main Market Rule Book to the principals of  Quantas Advantage, Market Surveillance and Compliance Officer in the JSE’s Regulatory & Market Oversight Division, Richard Grizzle underscored the importance of rules and regulations in maintaining market integrity and sustained economic growth.
