At day four of R Kelly’s federal child pornography trial in Chicago yesterday (August 18), his former goddaughter took the stand to testify about the pair’s sexual relationship.

The singer stands charged in Chicago federal court with enticing of minors for sex, producing child pornography and rigging his 2008 pornography trial.

According to The Daily Mail, the woman, whose is being referred to as Jane Doe, is now 37 years old and testified that she had sexual relations with the singer ‘hundreds of time’ before she was 18.

Jane is also said to be the same teen girl who was allegedly featured in his infamous 2008 sex tape.

In 2008, the R&B singer was accused of creating child pornography content after a video surfaced featuring Kelly and what appeared to be a minor.

The prosecutor on the case at the time identified the woman as Jane who was said to be 15 years old in the video. Kelly was 30.

However, Kelly was acquitted when both Jane and her parents testified that she was not the teen girl in the video.

According to prosecutors, Kelly fixed the 2008 trial to protect his rise to fame. They added that a desperate Kelly told Jane and her parents to leave Chicago, paying for them to travel to The Bahamas and Cancun, Mexico. 

Upon her return, he isolated Jane, moving her from hotel to hotel, all of which Jane denied in 2008.

Fast forward to today, Jane testified that she was in a sexual relationship with the Same Girl singer that started when she was 13 years old.

She is now a pivotal witness in the case.

In her testimony, Jane shared that she was first introduced to Kelly by her aunt. She was then instructed by the aunt to sit on Kelly’s lap, stroke his head and ask him to be her godfather.

Her aunt, who was also a musician, was romantically involved with the troubled singer at the time. Jane testified that she complied with the request and Kelly accepted the offer to be her godfather.

A few weeks later, Jane testified that the disgraced American singer would call her to have sexual conversations over the phone.

At this time, she recalls being just 14 years old.

She further testified that, at 15 years old, she lost her virginity to the then 30-year-old Kelly who requested for their activities to remain a secret.

Following that incident, Jane shared that they engaged in sexual relations an uncountable number of times at hotels.

When asked why she did not share this information with anyone, Jane testified that she saw Kelly as an authoritative figure and mentor. As such, she complied out of intimidation.
