Cameron Norrie ‘s run at the 2026 Barcelona Open was halted in the quarterfinals by Rafael Jódar, who secured a dominant 6-3, 6-2 victory in just over an hour at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona.
The opening set began evenly, with both players trading breaks early on, but Jodar soon found his rhythm and took control. Norrie held firm at the start of the second set, but once the score reached 2-2, the Spaniard shifted gears and pulled away.
It continues a rapid rise for Jodar, who was ranked outside the top 600 a year ago and has now picked up multiple wins against top 30 players, including another victory over Norrie earlier this season.
