Jamaica-born England international Raheem Sterling is set to return to Qatar in time for the Three Lions’ quarterfinal face-off against France at the World Cup in Qatar on Saturday (December 10), after robbers broke into his home just a week earlier.
Sterling had left Qatar last Sunday (December 4) to be with his family after he learnt that his house had been invaded by burglars the previous night.
According to Sterling’s spokesperson, the footballer returned home to Englan to prioritise the ‘wellbeing’ of his three young children.
The Surrey police confirmed that the occupants reported a number of items, including watches and jewelry, were reported stolen.

Sterling has played in two matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup thus far – England’s group stage match against Iran, where he scored in the 6-2 victory, and the group stage game against the United States which ended in a 0-0 draw.
England’s left winger missed his team’s 3-0 round of 16 victory over Senegal last Sunday, but is expected to join the team in Al Wakarah tomorrow (December 9).
It is reported that, on Wednesday (December 7), Sterling asked the English Football Association to allow him to return to Qatar.
