Rapper Rich Homie Quan, whose real name is Dequantes Devontay Lamar, has passed away at 34 years old.
Quan was found dead in his Atlanta home, according to his family and a representative for the Fulton County morgue.
His chart-topping hits like Type of Way and ‘Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh) solidified his place in the rap scene as a key figure in Rich Gang alongside Young Thug and Birdman. The collaboration led to the release of the acclaimed mixtape Rich Gang: Tha Tour Pt. 1, further cementing his influence in the rap genre.
His most recent release, Authentic, featuring Clever and Matt Monaco, has amassed 359,346 views to date.
Quan was expected to be a guest of Nick Cannon’s Wild’n Out show on September 19.
