It is dishonourable and sneaky to record your boss’s phone calls and conversations unbeknownst to them.

This speaks to character and trust.

First Lady Melania Trump who doesn’t court public attention, refraining from commenting on topical issues addressed this matter, herself being betrayed.

She wrote: “This is a woman who secretly recorded our phone calls, releasing portions from me that were out of context, then wrote a book of idle gossip trying to distort my character.  Her ‘memoir’ included blaming me for her ailing health from an accident she had long ago, and bad news coverage that she brought upon herself and others. Never once looking within at her own dishonest behaviour and all in an attempt to be relevant. These kind of people only care about their personal agenda – not about helping others!”

Melania Trump is right here and is right when she says it is dishonest behaviour.

If you were in her confidence and you knew this, she would not expect you to reveal and profit from her private conversations. This is not the act of a friend, worse still, if you pose in the guise of a trusted confidante, not unveiling your true face and agenda.

“There are plenty of opportunists out there who only care about themselves and unfortunately seek to self -aggrandise by knowingly taking advantage of my goodwill.”

The First Lady is focused on cyber bullying, the welfare of children and raising her son but, instead, what is published are salacious and negative vignettes.

All the more reason to be on one’s guard for opportunists.

“There are plenty of opportunists out there who only care about themselves and unfortunately seek to self -aggrandise by knowingly taking advantage of my goodwill,” declared Melania Trump.

Exploiting someone’s goodwill, broadcasting their thoughts and concerns, exposing their vulnerabilities when they let off steam with vituperative intent while considered a friend is deceitful and duplicitous.

Character is what you are in the dark. When character is lost, everything is lost. Character is destiny.
