Red hot champions Frazsiers Whip will be hunting their 14th straight win when they tackle bottom-placed team Springerz United at Royal Lakes field in one of five Jamaica Women’s Premier League games on Saturday.

Frazsiers Whip, which reaffirmed their status as the top team in the country by turning back the high-riding Los Perfectos 2-0 last Saturday, should have no problem dismissing a struggling Springerz team.

Frazsiers Whip have rattled up 13 straight wins and are on top of the league with a maximum 39 points, while Springerz are at the bottom on four points.

Last Saturday, Destiny Powell struck twice in the 41st and 60th minutes as Frazsiers Whip turned back Los Perfectos in the marquee match-up, and she could have a field day against the much weaker Springerz team.

Third-placed Los Perfectos, on 27 points, will be hoping to rebound against ninth-placed Real Mobay on 10 points at Jarrett Park.

At the Alpha Boys School, second-placed Cavalier, on 32 points, will move a step closer to the semi-finals if they beat eighth-placed Proven Girls on 10 points. Cavalier are coming off a 4-1 win over UWI Women and are fancied to get the better of Proven Girls.

Arnett Gardens in fourth spot, on 26 points, will meet sixth-placed UWI, 13 points, and will be looking to sneak into the playoffs, but have a lot of catching up to do. Arnett hold onto the playoff spot and are six points ahead of Wifi United in fifth on 18 points, and they will meet Federal United, 10th spot on six points, at Carder Park in Portland.

Wifi are eyeing that fourth spot, and they must beat Federal if they have any thought of making the top four.

Despite no team to be relegated, Federal United will be looking to improve on their position and try to finish as high as possible. They are four points adrift of the teams just above them.
