Liverpool have sent a clear message to Bayern Munich: Luis Diaz isn’t going anywhere.

The Reds swiftly rejected the German giants’ opening £58.6m offer for the Colombian star. Bayern’s approach earlier this month was met with an instant refusal, and Tuesday’s formal bid didn’t change Liverpool’s position.

The club values Diaz at well over £87 million, considering his importance to the squad and his contract running until 2027.

Diaz netted 22 goals across all competitions, including 13 in the Premier League as Liverpool cruised to the title by a 10-point margin. For now, Liverpool is actively pursuing a striker with Newcastle’s Swedish star Alexander Isak emerging as their top target.
