Jamaica national footballer Kemar Roofe scored a brilliant hat trick to lead Rangers to a 4-nil victory over hosts St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership today (April 10).
Reggae Boy Roofe’s heroics, along with Joe Aribo’s stunner to complete the route, brought Rangers within six points of leaders Celtic.
Roofe, 29, has scored 15 goals for Rangers this season. He also scored for Jamaica in a 2-nil win over Honduras in a World Cup qualifier late last year.
TWO HEADED GOALS
“We knew St Mirren would put up a good fight but we managed to break them down and get the goals,” Roofe, who received Man-of-the-Match honours, said after the game.
In just the second minute of the game, Roofe put the visitors ahead when he headed home from a Ryan Kent cross.
He followed up with another header in first-half stoppage time, this time froma James Tavernier delivery, before completing his treble after the break.
