Reggae Girl Taylor Hinds has left Liverpool and has made a return to the Arsenal club she left in 2017.

The 26-year-old made her Jamaican debut last October, after representing England at the Youth levels and is expected to play a significant role in Jamaica’s push for a third consecutive World Cup appearance.

Hinds, who plays left back for Jamaica, said things have come full circle for her returning to Arsenal.

“It feels amazing. It was a home for me at one point, and now I’m back, and yeah, I’m excited to get going,” said Hinds. “I can’t wait to get started and to step out on the pitch at Emirates Stadium in front of all our incredible supporters.”

Hinds made 131 appearances for Liverpool in five seasons, scoring eight goals, mostly playing as a defender.

Hinds was part of the England squad that won Bronze at the 2018 FIFA U-20 World Cup in France.

Hinds opted to represent Jamaica at the senior level and received her first call-up to the senior squad in October 2024 for a friendly match against France.

However, since making her debut for the Reggae Girlz, she has not played again, having passport issues.

Hinds, who helped Liverpool gain promotion in 2022 by winning the FA Women’s Championship, expressed her delight at joining the Champions League winners.

“I think for me, where I am right now, I wanna push and I wanna compete and I wanna be winning trophies,” said Hinds. “Obviously, the girls just win Champions League. That’s another step in the right direction. In this club, not just the women’s team, but as a whole, you can see what direction they’re going in and that they wanna push more and I wanna push more.”

Hinds posted a thank you message to the Liverpool fans after her contract expired after five years.

“I am sorry I haven’t had the chance to say a proper goodbye. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me feel so welcome when i joined back in 2020,” said Hinds.

“We’ve shared some incredible highs that I’ll never forget—being promoted back into the WSL and then having the chance to taking part in the 2022 parade which was one of the best days in my life,” she noted.
