Industry-leading salaries, significant benefits and opportunities for career-building top the list of enhancements being offered to potential recruits by Restaurants of Jamaica (ROJ), operators of KFC and Pizza Hut, as the quick-service food giant looks to significantly expand its pool of talent through an island-wide recruitment drive.

ROJ will look to add nearly 800 new jobs across its restaurant system during its current round of recruitment, all of whom will benefit from recent salary increases the company implemented, in part, to offset the steep jumps in the cost of living being felt by Jamaicans at all levels.

“To provide our customers with the best service possible, we must ensure that the size and quality of our teams are adequate to service our valued customers and grow in tandem with the expansion of the ROJ brand,” noted ROJ managing director Mark Myers.

“Most recently, we opened new KFC and Pizza Hut locations in Drax Hall and coming on the horizon is a KFC restaurant in Christiana. As the number of restaurants increases, so do customer expectations and we are committed to exceeding those expectations as we strive to serve our customers with excellence” he added.

Myers further asserted that, “We have high standards to maintain which is why we are aggressively recruiting the best talent available to join our team. We are currently offering the highest salaries in Jamaica’s QSR industry and several opportunities for upward mobility for those who want to build a career at ROJ. We are also modernising our recruitment process to make it easier for new talent who want to join our team.”

According to him, ROJ will also offer sign-on bonuses to new employees, plus performance incentives, grants for personal emergency and personal development, among other employee health and benefit programmes.

The company’s upgraded application process, which already includes e-applications via the brand’s websites and social media platforms, accessible with just a click, will be further enhanced to include the staging of virtual job fairs, and video applications utilising formats popularised through social media.

ROJ retains its position as one of Jamaica’s leading employers with nearly 2,000 employees across its KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants as well as its Restaurant Support and Distribution Centres.
