
The nominees for the 2023 Golden Globes Awards were announced today (December 12) and among them were hits by Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Lady Gaga, in the ‘Best Original Song’ category.
For Rihanna, she was nominated for Lift Me Up, from the official soundtrack for the Marvel superhero movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The song was co-written by Rihanna, Tems, Ludwig Goransson, and Ryan Coogler.
Swift was nominated for Carolina, which was featured in the film Where the Crawdads Sing, while Lady Gaga’s Hold my Hand appeared in the 2022’s top-grossing movie, Top Gun: Maverick.
NOMINEES FOR ‘BEST SCORE’
Other nominees in the category were Naatu Naatu by Rahul Sipligunj, Kaala Bhairava and M.M. Keeravani, which was featured in the Indian drama film RRR and Cia Papa by Guillermo del Toro and Roeban Katz which appeared in del Toro’s Pinocchio.
Other categories for the Golden Globe Awards were ‘Best Score’, which included nominees such as John Williams for the Steven Spielberg film The Fabelmans‘; Alexandre Deplat for del Toro’s Pinocchio; Justin Herwitz for Babylon and Hildour Guðnadóttir for Women Talking.
