Despite the many responsibilities that our favourite Caribbean pop star Rihanna has added to her plate over the last few years, it appears her first love, music, still remains among her top priorities.

According to the multi-Grammy award-winning singer, for her upcoming album, she’s taken some time to “experiment”, gGuaranteeing that whatever sounds her beloved fans hear from her next will be completely unexpected and unlike anything they have ever heard from her before.

“You’re not going to expect what you hear. Just put that in your mind,” Rihanna said recently before the taping of her ‘Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3’ event, which will air Friday on Amazon Prime Video.

“Whatever you know of Rihanna is not going to be what you hear,” said the singer, who has won nine Grammys in multiple categories including R&B, dance and rap.

“I’m really experimenting. Music is like fashion. You should be able to play. I should be able to wear whatever I want. I treat music the same way. So I’m having fun and it’s going to be completely different.”

It has been five years since the Love on the Brain singer released her critically acclaimed eighth studio album ANTI.

Last year, Rihanna said she had started recording new music and holding “tons of writing camps”. However, no release date for the Savage X Fenty CEO’s upcoming album has yet been offerred.
