Pop superstar Rihanna, born and raised in Barbados, has always been an ardent supporter of the Crop Over Festival and this year found her way home to participate in the festivities.
She looked resplendent in a jewel-encrusted teal outfit with feathered wings. Her head was adorned with a fancy crown that set the entire outfit off- a true Caribbean queen!
Rihanna has always acknowledged and championed her Caribbean roots. Caribbean people are very proud of her and how she has never forgotten her roots.

Rihanna’s costume was designed by Lauren Austin. The Umbrella singer was part of her brother’s band Aura and partied with her husband A$AP Rocky and Jamaican dancehall artist Spice. Rihanna made her impression felt on Grand Kadooment Day, getting down and looking good.
Only last week she unveiled her new Savage X Fenty collection.
Crop Over is Barbados’ biggest carnival and goes back to the 1780s, marking the end of the sugar cane season.
