Global music icon and beauty mogul Rihanna has announced the expansion of her Fenty Beauty brand into the Caribbean, with products becoming available from Thursday, October 24.
The launch will include not only Fenty Beauty but also Fenty Skin, Fenty Fragrance, and Fenty Hair across nine Caribbean islands, including her home country of Barbados.
Rihanna, who revealed the news via TikTok on October 1st, expressed her excitement about bringing her popular beauty lines to the region.
“After all these years, I could not be more excited to announce that Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin are finally going to be available across the Caribbean and in my home country Barbados,” the Bajan billionaire said. She added that her products were inspired by her own beauty needs and experiences growing up in the Caribbean, confident that shoppers would find something suited to their skin and hair needs.
The other countries that will have the full Fenty range include Antigua, Aruba, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Trinidad & Tobago, Grenada, and Sint Maarten. Customers in these regions will be able to purchase the products at selected retailers such as Lipstick Antigua, Maggy’s Aruba, John Bull Ltd Bahamas, Bridgetown Duty-Free in Barbados, and Kirk Freeport in the Cayman Islands.
A few fans were concerned with Jamaica’s absence from the list of countries that would be made available, and they expressed themselves in the post’s comment section, one stating: “Jamaicans are going to be mad you left out the capital of the Caribbean.”
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty brand has gained international acclaim for its focus on diversity and inclusivity, offering a wide range of shades and products to suit all skin tones. The expansion into the Caribbean is a full-circle moment for the star, as she brings her beauty empire back to her roots.
