Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated the 12th anniversary of his iconic ‘Siu’ celebration in the best way possible by netting a hat-trick in Al-Nassr’s 4-0 win over Rio Ave FC on Wednesday (August 6).

Ronaldo, who was last season’s Saudi Pro League top scorer with 25 goals, was in ruthless form, with new signing João Félix playing a key role in the victory. The Portuguese duo linked up brilliantly, with Félix who joined last month in a £26 million deal providing two assists, including a clever headed knockdown just 15 minutes in.

Ronaldo opened his account with a sharp finish after combining with Félix on the edge of the box, then had a chance to double his tally when Rio Ave conceded a penalty.

However, the Al-Nassr captain handed the spot kick to Sadio Mané only for the former Liverpool forward to see his weak effort saved. But Ronaldo didn’t have to wait long, heading home just 16 seconds later to make it 2-0. He completed his hat trick five minutes after that, coolly converting another penalty following a foul on Félix.

Under new manager Jorge Jesus, who replaced Stefano Pioli last month, Al-Nassr are pushing to end their trophy drought since Ronaldo’s high-profile arrival in 2022. And with Félix now in the mix and reports linking them with a move for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa, the Saudi giants look determined to finally claim silverware this season.
