Today (March 8) the world celebrates International Women’s Day (IWD)! The annual observation celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. That is why this year’s IWD campaign theme is, DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.

In recognition of IWD, the Rotaract Clubs of St Andrew and Liguanea Plains will be hosting a women’s day business networking mingle which will focus on female entrepreneurship and relationship building.

According to the Rotaract Club of St Andrew, the event is designed to support females in business as well as aspiring entrepreneurs.  Aside from showcasing the products and services of small businesswomen, the mingle will provide opportunities for collaboration on business ideas, innovations and related interests.

The networking segment of the event will provide attendees with valuable business insights including growth strategies, how to navigate common entrepreneurship challenges, access to resources and tips for creating mentorship relationships.

During the in-person event, attendees will also be treated to giveaways, speeches and live entertainment.

The event will be held at the Footprints Café on Belmont Road in Kingston from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
