The University of the West Indies (UWI) Carnival Launch Party 2025 set the perfect tone for an exciting weekend of Carnival celebrations as local and international revellers gathered on the lawns of the UWI Mona Campus to Spark the Rumvolution!
Sponsored by Rum Stripe, the highly anticipated launch event attracted hundreds of partygoers, all eager to embrace the Carnival spirit. From start to finish, the night was an electrifying showcase of music, energy, and unforgettable moments, marking an epic beginning to the season. Kicking off the festivities, guests were welcomed with complimentary samples of Rum Stripe’s newest, refreshingly bold Grapefruit flavour—a ready-to-drink cocktail in a can.

As patrons stepped further into the celebration, they encountered an eye-catching Smirnoff and Rum Stripe photo booth, the perfect spot to capture their Carnival-ready looks. Adding an unexpected thrill to the night’s entertainment, a mechanical riding bull stood at the centre of the action, drawing
eager challengers and onlookers.
With incredible beats from Fyahman, DJ Nova, DJ Laing D, DJ Watty and DJ Mindless, the UWI Carnival Launch Party was a great way to kick off the season.
