The UWI Mona campus was abuzz with activity last Saturday (March 15) as hundreds of revellers showed up for the highly anticipated UWI Carnival: Tales of the Isles Ring Road event.
This standout event on the Carnival calendar attracted patrons from both yaad and abroad, ready to take on the Ring Road. From early afternoon, the campus came alive with the spirit of Carnival as revellers, decked out in bold, vibrant costumes moved to the beats of soca and dancehall. The air buzzed with excitement, setting the tone for an exhilarating journey through the campus.

The great voyage ignited incredible energy as trucks sponsored by Rum Stripe, Smirnoff and other key partners rolled out en route, with an incredible lineup of disc jockeys and MCs who kept the momentum with crowd favourites. Revellers danced non-stop, pausing only for the refreshing showers from the water trucks that helped to keep the heat at bay. With free samples of the latest Rum Stripe Grapefruit flavour, friends and strangers alike joined in Sparking the Rumvolution, jumping together, fully immersed in the rhythm of the road.
The high-energy atmosphere carried into the evening as the carnival celebrations indicated no signs of slowing down, marking yet another unforgettable chapter in UWI Carnival history.
