Rushane Patterson, the person of interest in the killing of social media influencer Aneka ‘Slickianna ‘ Townsend, was arrested by police this morning (November 2) at a guest house in Hanover, shortly after 1 am.

The news comes just hours after the Jamaica Constabulary Force announced during a press conference on Tuesday that Patterson had indicated he would have turned himself in on Thursday (November 3).

“In fact, I can say this publicly that an attorney reached out to me and indicated that he will take him (Patterson) in on Thursday of this week,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey during the press briefing.

But it is now being reported that Patterson was captured by the JCF early in the morning today.

Patterson had been asked on two separate occassions to turn himself in after the body of Townsend was found floating at Reading in St James, but he did not.

He had initially told the police that he would turn himself in on Tuesday, but failed to do so.
