S Hotel Montego Bay is celebrating an extraordinary run of international success after winning three major global awards in under two months, a milestone highlighted on Wednesday night by CEO Christopher Issa during a special celebration at the S Club in Montego Bay.

Addressing staff and invited guests, Issa reflected on the hotel’s recent achievements and the spirit of determination that continues to drive the team forward.

“So you know, aside from the many awards that we have won, and kudos to our staff and all those who helped vote for us or made this possible…we are really looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for us in the future,” Issa said.

Issa noted that the hotel’s remarkable award streak began on November 4, shortly after Hurricane Melissa made landfall on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

“When we had already won two awards since the hurricane on November the fourth, we were awarded the Most Romantic Hotel in the Americas by Condé Nast,” he said. “And then on December the second, World Travel Awards awarded us the Best Hotel for Meetings and Events in Jamaica.”

He continued, “So within less than two months, our dedicated team has won a third award, and this time, the USA Today, Best All-Inclusive in the Caribbean.”

Issa told the audience that he had cautioned staff about the responsibilities that come with rising success during the hotel’s Christmas function.

“I said that there’s a Jamaican proverb that goes like this, and please excuse my language, I’m trying to do it as PG as possible, but there’s a Jamaican proverb that says, ‘The higher monkey climb, the more his backside is exposed,’” Issa said, “so I warned our team members about that.”

Issa said the team remained determined.

“And they said, ‘No, no, boss, we’re not worried about that. We want to go higher and higher,’” he recounted. “So I only hope that they will be able to achieve that wish and stuff, and we want to just let you know we are aiming to go higher and higher and see what the future holds for us.”

Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett lauded the achievement of S Hotel Montego Bay on being named the Best All-inclusive Caribbean Resort for 2026 by USA Today Readers’ Choice 10 Best Awards.

Bartlett, who gave the keynote address at Wednesday night’s celebrations, also commended Sunset at the Palms Resort, Negril on securing fourth place in the same USA Today ranking.

“This is a tremendous accomplishment and welcome news as the tourism sector recovers following the passage of Hurricane Melissa. To be able to remain top of mind among travellers and secure such prestigious accolades is proof of the resilience of our local properties, including S Hotel Montego Bay and Sunset at the Palms, and their continued commitment to always providing excellent service regardless of the circumstances,” Bartlett said.
