Scores of Jamaican men recently benefitted from an evening of mental health awareness at the AC Marriott Hotel in New Kingston, where they were encouraged to prioritise their health and well-being.

Organised by Sagicor Life Jamaica in collaboration with Advantage General Insurance Company, the event featured Men Talk sessions, humorous men’s health anecdotes from TV personality, Christopher ‘Johnny’ Daley, on-site massages, and a recount from businessman Rohan Silvera of his journey with prostate cancer.

Dave Morrison, deputy CEO of Advantage General, highlighted that men’s health awareness is an important occasion for highlighting and addressing specific health concerns faced by men, encouraging a move beyond basic health advice towards a deeper understanding and proactive approach to male wellness.
