Omar Brown, CEO of Sagicor Group affiliate, Alliance Financial Services, recently committed J$1 million to partially fund the Reggae Girlz’ current World Cup campaign.

In a statement at the press conference, Dennis Chung, general secretary of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) noted that the organisation was grateful for the support from Sagicor Group, as this is a busy season in football which requires funding for multiple national football teams which are competing at various stages and levels of international tournaments.

Chung also noted, that given this costly period for the nation’s governing football body, the sponsorship from Sagicor Group is well needed for the continued funding of the senior women’s football team competition currently happening in Australia.
