Starting this Saturday (August 20), The Sagicor Group will be hosting a series of wellness fairs across Jamaica.

The tour is set to last three weekends with the first stop being at Devon House, St. Andrew and then Harmony Beach, Montego Bay (August 27) and Portmore Mall, St Catherine (September 3).

Each child will be provided with free health checks and school medicals for the upcoming school year.

“The tour seeks to assist families across Jamaica with preparations for school reopening, while simultaneously reminding them about the importance of wellness especially as chronic illnesses continue to increase in the population,” said Stacy Goodwin, Sagicor Life’s wellness manager.

In addition, adults will also be treated to work out sessions and demonstrations and free blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and body mass index checks.

“These check ups are an important part of helping Jamaicans to keep their health in focus, and ultimately curbing the prevalence of non-communicable illnesses,” she added.

Each stop will also feature a Kiddies’ Village where children will have access to various games, rides, snacks and even stationary supplies in preparation for school this September.
