Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Limited (SREXF) has resumed dividend payments to its shareholders, issuing a dividend of J$0.10 per share on July 14, 2026, marking the Company’s first dividend payment since 2017.
The payment represents a significant milestone for the Company and reflects the progress made in strengthening its financial position following several challenging years.
SREXF was previously unable to pay dividends due to a negative retained earnings position, which primarily arose during the COVID-19 period. As the Company’s financial performance improved, management determined that it was appropriate to explore opportunities to resume shareholder distributions.
The resumption of dividend payments reflects the Company’s improved financial position and its renewed ability to return value to shareholders.
Chairman of Sagicor Real Estate X Fund, Howard Mitchell says, “Resuming dividends is an important step for the Company and for our shareholders. It reflects the work that has gone into strengthening the business and getting the Company back into a position where distributions are possible. We are encouraged by the progress, but our focus remains on disciplined execution and creating sustainable value over time.”
For shareholders, the dividend signals a business that has moved into a stronger position and is better placed to pursue the next phase of its growth strategy.
