They came in their thousands and took over Knutsford Boulevard in the centre of New Kingston to participate in the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run on Sunday.

This annual event has captured all that’s good about Jamaica and its willingness to support noble causes for the betterment of Jamaicans.

Sagicor Group Jamaica’s CEO Christopher Zacca said last year that the Run raised JS115 million. This year it surpassed that figure coming in at J$128 million.

As many as 30,000 got up early Sunday morning to participate in the run.

It was a marvellous event with spirits high. The logistics and organising abilities are a credit to the Sagicor team. They worked assiduously to not only pull this off but make it look seamless and executed without a hitch.

Kudos to Sagicor.

The Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run has now raised over J$875 million for close to 30 charities since it began. Prime Minister Andrew Holness ran with the registrants on Sunday and noted he has participated in the race seventeen times over the years. He lauded the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run for what it has been able to achieve.

Our Today’s Oraine Meikle brings you these photos from yesterday’s Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run.
