Samsung Electronics announces the addition of AirDrop compatibility to its Quick Share platform, starting with the new Galaxy S26 lineup, enabling users to share content more quickly and easily between devices.
This update represents an important step toward a more open and seamless connectivity experience, facilitating the transfer of photos, videos, documents, and other files between Galaxy devices and compatible equipment, even across different ecosystems.
The feature began rolling out on March 23 starting in Korea and gradually expanding to other regions, including Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan.
AirDrop support will initially be available on the Galaxy S26 lineup, and Samsung plans to extend this functionality to other Galaxy devices in future updates, with further details to be announced soon.
With this innovation, Samsung continues to strengthen Quick Share as a comprehensive file-sharing solution, focused on delivering greater speed, security, and compatibility, addressing users’ needs in an increasingly interconnected environment.
