In continuing its Heroes Day celebration, Mount Airy Primary and Infant School hosted a day of heritage celebration under the theme ‘Re-igniting greatness through our heritage’.
Students at the institution were also treated to prizes on behalf of Sandals Negril and Beaches Negril to include school bags, pencils, crayons, notebooks, reading books and other stationery items.

The day’s event saw students showcasing their talents through the arts with performances of various traditional songs and dances.
Students from The Manning’s School were also present to entertain and educate the students through storytelling and songs, as Kenn Johnson, principal of Mount Airy, shared that “though they are young, the preservation of Jamaica’s culture is reliant on the younger generation’s knowledge of our nation’s history”.
