Jamaican all-inclusive brand Sandals is opening a new Beaches resort in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Sandals and Beaches executive chairman Adam Stewart reportedly made the revelation during the Skift Global Forum earlier this week in New York City, saying, “It’s clear that all tides rise together….We’re excited to continue that momentum with plans to bring a new 360-room Beaches Resort to this incredible destination.”

The new hotel is part of over US$1 billion in new hotel investments by the Stewart-led company that includes the imminent debut of the Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos and new resorts in Exuma, Barbados and the Runaway Bay area of Jamaica.

This new Beaches resort is a 360-room all-inclusive development planned for Mount Wynne Beach on the western Vincentian coast—about a 10-minute drive from the Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines resort.

The announcement comes as Beaches has several other expansions planned in the Caribbean. The opening of Sandals’ first-ever Vincentian resort last year helped buoy a tourism renaissance in the country, including a wave of new flights.

Pretty soon Delta will be flying new nonstop flights between Atlanta and St Vincent, adding to the increasing existing flights.
