For the past five years, SCA Marketing Masterminds has been delivering campaigns that cut through the noise and achieve measurable results for a growing roster of Jamaican businesses.

The boutique marketing and integrated communications agency has taken on the responsibility of corporate storytelling—shaping the narrative for a number of Jamaican businesses that are unaware of where to begin or how to share their story.

Born out of the boldness of visionary and founder Suwannee “SuperSue” Caine in 2020, SCA Marketing Masterminds was charging forward when much of the business world was retreating. Caine assumed risk for launching the company during the COVID-19 pandemic, which came with widespread economic uncertainty.

Yet her vision for the agency to be a game-changer in Jamaica’s marketing landscape served as motivation to remain steadfast against the challenges presented by the pandemic. Caine was already taking a risk entering into what seemed a crowded industry, but she was determined to make SCA Marketing Masterminds a standout.

Armed with 20 years of combined expertise in marketing, commercial management, and corporate leadership, Caine set out to create an agency where creativity and strategy were complementary components of the company’s executions. The early days were marked by grit, resourcefulness, and aggressive risk-taking.

“From day one, my philosophy was simple: the client’s vision becomes our mission,” she recalls.

Caine vividly remembers driving to St Ann to pitch to what would become SCA’s first major client. With no formal boardroom to meet in, she presented her proposal at the client’s home, armed only with her laptop, her strategy, and the belief that she could deliver beyond expectations. That meeting ended with a handshake and the start of a long-lasting partnership that still exists today.

From that first contract, SCA’s client base has grown steadily. Today, the agency’s portfolio spans over ten brands across industries, including food and beverage, real estate, insurance, distribution, and environmental services.

“We have gone from being the newcomer in the room to being the agency that people know will deliver, and deliver well,” Caine says.

SCA’s offering goes well beyond traditional public relations and marketing services. The agency provides holistic solutions that help clients not only increase visibility but also strengthen operations and achieve sustainable growth. Such solutions include: corporate coaching, research and analysis, workshops, and financial strategy consulting.

One of the agency’s defining strengths is its use of digital platforms. Through Instagram, LinkedIn, and its website, SCA shares insights, celebrates client wins, and offers a behind-the-scenes look at campaigns in progress. This approach has helped to position the agency as vibrant, strategic, and unapologetically results-driven.

In an industry dominated by larger firms, SCA has built a reputation for punching above its weight.

“We have gone head-to-head with some of the biggest agencies in the country and won,” Caine boasts about winning bids.

“Our edge is that we are nimble, we listen closely, and we treat our clients’ businesses like our own,” she continues.

Beyond Jamaica, SCA Marketing Masterminds is making inroads into Caribbean and Latin American markets, led by its founder, who is fluent in Spanish. As such, the agency offers Jamaican brands a pathway to cross-border growth and positions SCA as a regional player.

Now, as the company celebrates its fifth anniversary, Caine is focused on growing a larger portfolio across Jamaica and the Latin America and Caribbean region. For its clientele, SCA Marketing Masterminds remains focused on curating a unique experience for each client because each client requires something different to meet their objectives.

Caine explains that rather than offer a “one-size-fits-all approach”, the agency is tailoring our solutions to our clients’ needs.

By doing so, “We are able to achieve some amazing results,” she says.
