The Ministry of Education and Youth is warning the public, and teachers in particular, to be wary of persons advising them that they are eligible for an Own Your Own Device (OYOD) Incentive Programme.
“The Ministry has no such incentive programme in place,” the Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday (April 12).
Letters have reportedly been sent to teachers advising them that they have been approved for a voucher valued at $100,000 which they can redeem from any of a list of vendors.
With this, teachers as well as the general public are being advised not to send any information to the fake email addresses listed in the letters.
