Barbara Alexander retires after over 15 years as Scotia board member

Scotiabank Group Jamaica has rotated some of its board sub-committee members, in keeping with good governance practice.

The banking group has announced that Eric Crawford will remain as the chairman of its Audit Committee but with a new composition. The full list of members of the Audit Committee are as follows:

• Eric Crawford – Chair

• Vernon Douglas

• Angela Fowler

• W. David McConnell

• Evelyn Smith

The appointment of the new look Audit Committee took effect on March 10, 2023.

At the same time, Scotiabank Group Jamaica has announced the retirement of longtime board member, Barbara Alexander. Alexander retired from the Board of Directors on March 10, 2023 after over 15 years of distinguished service to the banking group.

In a statement, the Board of Directors, management and staff of Scotiabank expressed sincere thanks to Alexander for “her stewardship and commitment to excellence and wish her every success in her future endeavours”.
