The Jamaica Environment Trust’s (JET) efforts to educate young Jamaicans on the impact of plastic waste on the environment have been boosted by Scotiabank.
The financial institution has donated J$1 million towards JET’s activities aimed at encouraging plastic recycling and reducing marine litter.
Yanique Forbes Patrick, vice president of public affairs and communications at Scotiabank, recently visited JET’s ‘Earth Cottage’ offices where she met with CEO Dr Theresa Rodriguez Moodie and programme director Justin Saunders who shared the parameters and successes of JET’s Schools Environment Programme (SEP).
