Respected New York-based corporate finance publication Global Finance Magazine has crowned Scotiabank as Jamaica’s best domestic trade finance provider.

Jamaica was among the over 100 other countries securing the title ‘World’s Best Trade Finance Providers 2025’ for their respective country, territory and district.

Winners are selected as the best trade finance providers based on entries from banks and other providers, as well as input from industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts. Providers were selected based on transaction volume, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technologies.

“The global trade finance sector has shown resilience and innovation this year, with advances in digitisation, and AI-powered solutions to enhance efficiency and transparency,” said Global Finance founder and editorial director Joseph Giarraputo. “Global Finance’s Best Trade Finance Providers awards honour the organisations that best served the needs of their clients while navigating challenges such as geopolitical uncertainty and regulatory complexities.”

Morris Nelson, senior vice president of corporate and commercial banking with Scotiabank stated, “Scotiabank is deeply honoured to receive this award which recognises the dedication and expertise of our team, as well as our strong partnerships with clients”.
