Jamaican artiste Sean Paul recently revealed that he cancelled a show to spend Father’s Day with his wife and children.
The Temperature artiste shared the news during an interview with Ebony Magazine, where he talked about fatherhood and ensuring his longevity in the music industry.
While he did not reveal what the event was, Sean noted that the thing he is most looking forward to for Father’s Day is spending time with his family.
“Let me tell you something. I literally just cancelled a show that was supposed to take place on Father’s Day because I want to spend it with mi pickney,” Sean said.
“Fatherhood is a new chapter of life for me, you know. I’m someone who did this late. But they keep me feeling young and remind me so much of myself. I think they are the best song I ever wrote. It’s all still new for me, but it’s such a blessing,” he added.
Sean Paul, together with his wife Jodi ‘Jinx’ Henriques, have two children, their son Levi Blaze Henriques and daughter Remi Leigh Henriques.
The artiste first became a father in February 2017 at 44 years old when Jodi gave birth to Levi. Remi followed shortly after in August 2019.
Sean Paul and Jodi tied the knot in 2012.
Father’s Day is celebrated every third Sunday in June. This year, the day will fall on Sunday (June 18).
