The police in St Kitts and Nevis are still searching for a citizen of Antigua and Barbuda who escaped from the St Peter’s Community Centre last month.
All but one of the nine persons, mostly Cameroonian nationals, who escaped from a detention facility in St Kitts have been found.
The fugitive, identified as 53-year-old Nicholas Santana Areche, is yet to be apprehended and is still at large in the twin island.
The escape occurred after a boat carrying 32 West Africans capsized and sank off the coast of St Kitts on March 28, with Santana and 14 others being rescued by the coast guard.
Commissioner of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force, James Sutton, confirmed that investigations are still ongoing.
