The Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) did not conduct its regular 14-Day Repurchase Operations for the entire duration of last week.
This is the second straight week that the BOJ has not had a repo auction. Both scheduled operations last week – on Monday (December 19) and Friday (December 23) – did not take place.
As such, there were no repo auctions on those two regular days. The next auction for 14-day repurchases is scheduled for this Friday (December 30).
During the week of December 12-16, the BOJ advised that it would not be conducting its 14-Day Repurchase Operation for that week and therefore there were no auctions.
