Senator Gabriela Morris elected to lead new PNPYO executive

Senator Gabriela Morris, the youngest member of the Upper House of Parliament, has been elected the president of the People’s National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO).

Morris was among the new executive – including four vice presidents and a treasure – elected during the PNPYO’s National Congress today (July 17) at People’s National Party Headquarters in St Andrew.

NATIONAL COUNCIL TO HOLD ADDITIONAL ELECTIONS NEXT SUNDAY

In her address to the National Congress, Morris charged the youth of the PNPYO to be dedicated, diligent and deliberate in advocating for a Jamaica that works not only for the youth of today but for the youth of tomorrow.

Next Sunday (July 24), the National Council will elect the general secretary, deputy general secretaries, legal advisor and national organiser of the PNPYO. 

In a statement announcing Morris’ election, the PNPYO said it remained committed to the youth of Jamaica and would continue to build “a vibrant, vocal and visionary youth organisation for the upcoming political year”.
