Septimus ‘Bob’ Blake will serve for a third term as president of the Jamaica Bankers Association (JBA), as will the other senior executives who all return unopposed.

The election concluded the JBA’s recent annual general meeting (AGM) on July 20.

The remaining officers unanimously re-elected to their roles are:

  • Audrey Tugwell Henry as vice president.
  • Nigel Holness as secretary.
  • Eva Lewis as treasurer.

Blake, who sits as JBA president since July 2021, also currently serves as the chief executive officer of National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited.

With considerable leveraging power, the Jamaica Bankers’ Association (JBA) describes itself as a professional association which represents deposit-taking institutions (DTIs) locally.

The association serves as the principal voice for the banking sector in the country, advocating for its members’ interests and engaging with relevant stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and government agencies.

Outside of the JBA, Tugwell Henry is currently president & CEO of Scotia Group Jamaica Limited, while Holness sits in the role of managing director of CIBC Jamaica and Lewis, CEO and bank head for Citibank in Jamaica.
