Young Jamaican reggae singer and songwriter Sevana is making waves with her latest single Blessed, the fourth track on the Be Somebody EP.

The official music video, released on Monday (November 30), served up more of the sultry songstress’ conscious lyrics, creative personality and melodious vocals.

Going back to her Christian roots, Blessed incorporates elements of Sevana’s personal relationship with God, while staying true reggae.

Sevana’s soothing melody captivates the listening audience and could easily distract even the staunchest atheist.

Blessed can double as your new early morning jam or as an alarm to wake you, or use it as your daily inspiration.

This music represents strength and not fear, love and not hatred and the easy-flowing instrumental makes it an even better listening experience.

Arguably, after Sevana’s amazing vocals, the most praise should be showered on her creative director, who is nothing short of a genius.

The make-up, the fashion choices, the scene where the official music video was recorded, the use of lighting—Sevana’s entire aesthetics were on point, and we’re all the more Blessed for it.

I will be the first among your growing fanbase to thank you for your dedication to music, Sevana, as the product shows effortlessly in Blessed.
