Olympic sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson found herself on the wrong side of the law after being pulled over for driving 104 mph in a 65 mph zone.
Bodycam footage from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office shows Richardson pleading with the officer, trying everything to avoid arrest, but it wasn’t enough.
The video captures her Aston Martin being caught by the deputy, who quickly made it clear the situation was serious.
Richardson is seen arguing her case, but the officer remained firm as he detailed the alleged reckless driving, flashing to get through traffic, tailgating, weaving across lanes, cutting off the police, and even passing a car on the inside shoulder.
Despite her efforts, Richardson was handcuffed and taken to jail, posting a $500 bond later that day.
