Dancehall and Reggae icon Shaggy will headline the Issa Trust Foundation’s (ITF) ‘For The Children’ benefit concert, set for Monday, May 17 at Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios, St Ann.
The event hopes to raise funds for the Mary Issa Paediatric and Adolescent Health Centre’s construction.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the ITF, the philanthropic arm of Couples Resorts, continues its mission to improve paediatric health care in Jamaica. The concert, an all-VIP affair, will also feature rising reggae singer Lila Iké.

ITF, CEO Diane Pollard highlighted the foundation’s dedication to quality medical care for children and the progress on a 9,000-square-foot health center, which will provide primary and preventive care, specialty clinics, and social support services.
The upcoming concert aims to raise USD$500,000 towards the centre’s development. The foundation is notably still seeking sponsors and donors, offering various sponsorship tiers for corporate and individual contributions.
The Issa Trust Foundation has previously featured artists such as Air Supply, Michael Bolton, Ky-Mani Marley, Tessanne Chin, and others. Over the years, the foundation has contributed approximately $41 million in medical donations, launched paediatric medical missions, and implemented sustainable healthcare programmes.
