Fish, salmon, octopus, crabs, lobster, shrimp, ribs and other seafood mix platters were up for grabs for food lovers at reasonable prices at the 2022 staging of the annual Heroes Day event, Sharkies Seafood Festival, held in Runaway Bay, St. Ann.

Alwyn Brown, Festival Director, Sharkies Seafood Festival said in a recent interview that he is pleased with the turn-out and feedback received from patrons who attended the annual event, and also title sponsor, Campari.

“The feedback is great. The quality of the event and the quality of the production increased and we got more patrons than events held in previous years,” Brown said.

He honestly said that although the concept of the six-year-old Festival is to promote local seafood to both the local and international markets, the performance of the artists at the Festival’s night event, better captured the attention of patrons than the dishes.

The artist line up included: Imeru Tafari, Kranium, Jah Vinci, Jahshii, Chronic Law, Laa Lee, Bugle, Louie Culture, Zamunda, D’Vani, Movann, Slippery Skeemaz, Deep Jahi, Twins of Twins and Rhumba.
