Dancehall artiste Shenseea is to perform at the All Africa Festival (AFF) in the United Arab Emirates on Friday (October 22).

Shenseea is the only Jamaican artiste advertised to perform at the three day long festival being held in the major city of Dubai.

According to one of the event organizers, Kenya Don, the festival is expected to pull over 20,000 patrons, adding that it was absolutely necessary to have a dancehall/ Caribbean artiste.

Kenya Don shared that Shenseea was selected to represent the genre and region, because she was the most relevant artiste out of the genre at this time, citing her popularity.

“She is getting mad love on the radio & clubs. She is the only Jamaican that is being played on the mainstream radio other than Sean Paul & Shaggy,” he added.

Taking to her Instagram in the lead up to her performance, Shenseea shared with her following that she didn’t feel ready to perform, as she was unable to follow her regular show preparation routine, which included meditating before her performance.

“I am not ready for this show. I slept the whole day and had to wake up exactly when I am suppose to get ready. I don’t even know my show set to be honest. Wah me ago do hmmm,” said Shenseea in her Instagram story.

“Before my shows, I always have to sit and meditate and think about exactly….” she added, as she was briefly interrupted by the falling of her silver earring from her ear.

Despite her feelings, Shenseea went off to show off her hair and the cute welcome card she got for travelling aboard Emirates (airline) from the cabin crew.

Shenseea has been landing major gigs in the last six months, with show stopping performances at Rolling Loud Miami and at Hot 97’s Summer Jam show.
