During the unveiling of her ordeal, the singer candidly shared that she had woken up feeling severe pain a rushed herself to the hospital where she then had to wait an hour before receiving serious medical attention.
“…I had to go to the hospital. They had me for an hour. Mi a tell unuh, one bagga form. Mi feel like me a dead; I feel like I’m dying and I had to be sitting down to fill out paperwork,” she said.
The star, while recounting her experience, stressed that she would never want to relive a similar occurrence while in the United States.
“I don’t ever wanna go through that again, and be here. I don’t wanna ever go through anything again that’s detrimental, and be here in America.”
Before ending the live, the mother of one, shared with her viewers that they should be aware of what the condition is. She continued by listing the different symptoms.
“The first symptom of hematoma is pain, literally. Not even a likkle headache, not even a likkle eye ache, not even vomiting – pain. That’s the first symptom of a hematoma,” the star said.
A hematoma is generally described as a collection of blood outside of blood vessels. In other words, a hematoma is bleeding which has more or less clotted. The condition is commonly caused by injury or trauma to the wall of the blood vessel.
A hematoma is a condition that many will encounter at some point in their lives, however it tends to resolve spontaneously over time as the blood debris is removed and the blood vessel wall is repaired by the body’s repair mechanisms. There are instances when a surgical procedure becomes necessary, depending on the symptoms or location.
There are several types of hematoma, with each type appearing in different parts of the body. Hematomas can appear in the spinal cord, between brain tissue, under the nails, between the skull and the lining of the brain, ear cartilage, spleen, liver and the abnormal cavity (largest hollow space of body).
Symptoms of hematoma include pain, swelling, redness, and disfiguring bruises. If you believe you are experiencing the condition, visit your doctor.
Shenseea did not indicate which part of her body was affected by her hematoma or whether her symptoms actually became life threatening.
