

Shikira Douglas scored six times as Arnett Gardens warmed up for the Jamaica Women’s Premier League semi-final with a thumping 14-1 win over Real Mobay at Jarrett Park on Saturday.
Douglas netted in the 14th, 18th, 34th, 54th, 63rd and 68th minutes, taking her tally to 37 goals and finishing second behind Davia Richards of Frazsiers Whip with 40 goals.
Isabelle Redwood had opened the floodgate in the 5th minute with further goals from Briana Crosby (37), Tuanashae Hamilton (38), Sade Berry (49), Suen Gregory (73), Shanice Stewart (76) and Shaunalee Johnson (79, 80).
Arnett Gardens, with their 15th win from 20 games, finished the regular season in third spot on 48 points and are ready for the playoffs. For Real Mobay, it was their 13th defeat of the season, and they finished in ninth spot on 13 points. Dale-Ann Daley scored a consolation goal in minute 65.
Defending champions Frazsiers Whip warmed up for the playoffs with a resounding 11-0 mauling of Mile Gully at Excelsior High School. Destiny Powell took her goalscoring tally to 24, netting four times in the 20th, 26th, 36th, and 62nd minutes, while Davia Richards stayed at the top of the list with 40 goals, scoring twice in the 41st and 45th minutes.
Ricquanna Richards (13th), Natoya Atkinson (16th), Nevillegail Able (43rd), Keandra Leslie (80th) and Shaneil Buckley ( 90+2) completed the rout.
Frazsier Whip also finished atop the standings with 58 points, inclusive of 19 wins and one draw, while Mile Gully are sixth with 16 points following their eighth defeat of the season.
Semi-finalist Los Perfectos could only muster a 1-1 draw with cellar team Springers United at Irwin High School in what was certainly not an ideal result heading into the playoffs. Joshika Harris scored for Springers, which finished at the bottom of the table with five points, while Abbie-Kay Reid responded for Los Perfectos, which are fourth on 40 points.
At the Spanish Town Prison Oval, Federal United and Proven Girls battled to a 2-2 draw. Adriana Halt (38) and Rajanique Ferguson (82) scored for Federal while Kimberly Bent (25) and Brianna Smith (81) replied for Proven.
Federal finished second from bottom in 10th spot with 10 points, while Proven Girls are seventh on 17 points.
Wifi United finished their campaign on a strong note, whipping UWI Women 3-0 at Carder Park to be fifth on 28 points. UWI are eighth on 16 points. Tashel Davis scored a hat-trick, netting in the 30th, 40th and 43rd minutes.
The semi-final first-leg playoffs are set to begin on July 26 with two games at Constant Spring field, with Cavalier taking on Arnett Gardens at 4 pm before Frazsier Whip tackle Los Perfectos at 6 pm.
The return legs are set for August 2 at Constant Spring, while the final and third-place playoff are set for August 9 at Jamaica College.
